Loop Water Bottle

Vacuum insulated water bottle with a unique lid that slots over the bottle's neck. This provides the user with a convenient place to keep the lid whilst drinking and when storing after use. The lid also doubles up as a useful carry handle.

Role:
• Researched and identified common problems found with existing re-usable water bottles.
• Managed the development of each component, adjusting and modifying elements through the sampling process to ensure the final design was suitable for mass production.
• Thoroughly tested each component to ensure the product was satisfactorily leakproof and safe for commercial use.
• Liaised with manufacturer throughout the prototyping, tooling and sampling processes.
• Managed the project to ensure it was completed on time and within budget.

Challenges:
• Achieving a water tight seal and ensuring this remained sealed when the bottle was used with hot liquids and shaken.
• Ensuring the vacuum insulation matched the performance of leading competitor bottles.
